Se llama música cristiana a la música creada y ejecutada como expresión del cristianismo. El término engloba una gran diversidad de estilos musicales que contienen mensajes bíblicos o letras de adoración y cuya motivación principal es la fe cristiana. Se ha compuesto durante los últimos 2mil años aproximadamente para manifestar tanto de manera personal como comunitaria las creencias religiosas y la fe en Dios. La definición de música cristiana, así como su papel fundamental su composición y su importancia llegan a tener diversas perspectivas q a veces varían según la denominación en cuestión.
Jason Upton (Lafayette, Indiana; 15 de diciembre de 1973) es un cantautor de música cristiana contemporánea de adoración estadounidense. Jason es muy conocido por varios círculos de la comunidad cristiana en Estados Unidos. Ha realizado múltiples giras internacionales, ha tenido algunas apariciones en televisión (destacando su participación en CBN) y también ha formado su propio sello discográfico llamado Key Of David Ministries. Él afirma que su objetivo no es llevar a las personas a la religión, sino, llevarlos a Jesús, y que quiere que sus canciones y sus mensajes reflejen una vida plenamente vivida en relación con Dios.
