El termino K-pop surge por el movimiento de la cultura joven y (K) de Korean (Coreano en ingles); en resumen es la abreviatura de Korean Pop o Pop Coreano. Es un género de música que tuvo sus orígenes especialmente en Corea del Sur ya que prácticamente no hay una industria de música popular en Corea del Norte. Ya que Corea del Norte tiene un estricto régimen de gobierno comunista, por lo que las relaciones con Corea del Sur son muy pocas, así que cuando se habla de cantantes coreanos se da como sobrentendido que se habla de Corea del Sur.
A Pink es un grupo femenino surcoreano formado por Plan A Entertainment en 2011. El grupo está compuesto por seis integrantes: Park Cho Rong, Yoon Bo Mi, Jung Eun Ji, Son Na Eun, Kim Nam Joo y Oh Ha Youngh. En abril de 2013, Hoo Yoo Kyung, abandonó el grupo para enfocarse en sus estudios.
A Pink hizo su debut oficial el 19 de abril de 2011 con el lanzamiento de su primer mini-álbum titulado «Seven Springs of Apink», junto con el sencillo «I Don't Know». En octubre de 2014, publicaron su primer sencillo japonés, «NoNoNo».
