Se conoce como música electrónica a aquella que se genera a través de determinados aparatos electrónicos como el sintetizador o el sampler y que puede ser concebida en su totalidad a partir de los sonidos y melodías que producen estas máquinas... o bien a una canción ya creada y terminada por un artista, a la cual se la modifica a través y gracias a la aplicación de esta tecnología, dando lugar a una nueva creación artística que conservará en su base el sonido y la letra de la original.
Anton Zaslavski alias "Zedd", nació en una familia de músicos, comenzó a tocar el piano a la edad de cuatro años. Después de unos cuantos años de aprender a tocar el piano hasta llegar a dominarlo, Antonio comenzó a tocar la batería en una banda; compuso y produjo numerosos canciones de rock en el estudio de su propia banda.
En 2009 comenzó a producir musica electrónica, con mucho éxito y rápida. Después de un periodo de sólo unos meses alcanzó un notable nivel y participó en Beatport "Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest", que pasó a ganar. Esto abrió una serie de nuevas posibilidades de Zedd, y después de sólo poco tiempo, ganó su segundo concurso en Beatport, la "Fatboy Slim / Skint Remix Contest"!
